Shane is an Army veteran with more than 17 years in construction and safety. He came to United Front from a manufacturer's representation firm specializing in safety products, where he taught classes on those products and competent person level courses. He is OSHA 500 trained and holds the Qualified Safety Sales Professional credential. He also writes for the United Front blog.

James is a retired Army enlisted veteran with a safety background spanning multiple industries, including time working for South Carolina OSHA. He holds the Safety Trained Supervisor Construction credential and is a Red Cross certified First Aid and CPR instructor. SAFETY TRAINING QUESTIONS
Where does United Front training take place?
On your job site or in our Greenville classroom. Courses that do not require equipment can run at either. Equipment operator training runs on your site, on the machines your crew already uses, and the client provides the equipment. United Front delivers throughout the Southeast and travels nationwide on request. For on-site training more than 50 miles from Greenville, SC, travel is billed at $250 per day for hotel and meals plus $0.77 per mile.
Who provides the equipment for operator training?
The client provides the equipment. Operator training runs on the machines your crew already uses, on the site where they use them, so the practical evaluation reflects real conditions.
Can one or two people join a class, or do we have to book a full group?
Both work. The pricing on this page is for a scheduled class, at your site or in our classroom. Individuals can also join an open class. Contact us and we will confirm the schedule and whether we can add your people to a class already on the calendar.
How does additional attendee pricing work?
Each course price is a flat rate covering up to the capacity listed on that course card. Above that number, each additional attendee is billed at the per-person rate shown on the same card. Fall Protection Level 1, for example, is $1,300 for up to ten people and $130 for each person beyond ten.
What happens if someone does not pass the practical?
The instructor stops, coaches the operator through what they missed, and gives them an opportunity to demonstrate the skill correctly.
What do attendees receive?
Electronic certificates and plastic wallet cards are included for all courses unless otherwise noted. Card terms vary by course: Level 1 courses generally carry a one year card and Competent Person courses carry three years. First Aid/CPR/AED issues a Red Cross digital certification valid for two years, with physical wallet cards optional. The two safety leadership courses issue a certificate of completion with no wallet card. ATSSA Flagger includes a four year ATSSA wallet card and certificate.
